Note that our capabilites extend beyond our UKAS accreditation, it is important to identify when you need the full UKAS conformance and when you do not. See our "news and events" article to consider the differences.
Climatic Testing
- Thermal Shock chambers – air to air -70 to +200 deg. C.
- Temperature and humidity cycling.
- Ingress protection (IP ratings) for enclosures (liquids) – see UKAS Schedule of accreditation for details.
Dynamic Testing
- Vibration – single or three axis see Test House Capabilities for details.
- Shock – up to 10,000g.
- Combined vibration and rapid temperature cycling including HALT, HAT & HASS, ESS.
Specialised testing
- Specific standards testing – see Test House Capabilities document for details.
- Assistance in developing testing protocol or standard for new product or
process. - High rate of change testing e.g. 20 Deg C per minute or greater.
- Salt spray corrosion testing.
- DUST Testing to EN IP5x & 6x standards.
- Liquids IP testing including IPx9 & IPx9k.
- Full IP testing (IP1x to IPx9k) including all the lower tests & the commmon IP65, IP66, IP67, IP68 IP69, IP69k etc.

A remarkably effective tool in R&D/reliability if used well.
Alphatech's facilities include our own Qualmark HALT & HASS chambers and the option to advise and supply for your own facilities.
FAST RATE CHAMBERS
Alphatech has mechanically cooled chambers (lower test cost than LN2) that can achieve up to 20 Degrees C per minute.
The chamber shown is also Humidity capable and fast rate of change!
DUST - SALT SPRAY - TESTING Facilities
Our dust test chamber & Salt Spray chambers complement our other IP (ingress protection) 
testing capabilities. If you have IP tests both liquid and/or dust talk to us about your product.
IPx9K 
A hard test to find high pressure hot water jets are increasingly used to test products from automotive and other harsh environment industries. Alphatech are one of few test houses to have full ISO17025 UKAS accreditation to carry out this test.
